RJ 45 connectors?

Re: RJ 45 connectors?

Assuming you need cable ends, the EZ-RJ45 connectors are a bit easier for novice installers, but don't always fit properly into receptacles and often require an extra trimming step. Of the standard style crimp, I haven't found any differences between any of the major brands. What really helps is proper stripping of the outer jacket, proper trimming of the individual conductors, and plenty of practice installing the connectors.

I like the EZ-RJ45 too. Unlike Rob, I haven't found anything they don't fit correctly into. I think there's no doubt that the fastest and easiest to assemble. I think the quality is on par with anything else. They're especially nice if you're using upjacketed cable, which is a pain with normal connectors.

Platinum also makes a nice crimper for the EZ series that trims the ends, and it works well. EZ-RJPRO.
