Roger Waters

Re: Roger Water's

I saw this show in St Paul, and it was the best concert I have ever seen or heard, bar none. There is NOTHING I would have changed in the mix or presentation. It was stunningly good in every respect.

Reading this article was a great insight into this show. Thanks Rob.

Re: Roger Water's

I thought the show last year in San Jose was good. But I thought the audio level was really, really quiet. The only time there was any push was the guitar solo on Comfortably Numb (which was actually painful) and then when they finally kicked on the BT218s when the wall fell. Before that there was hardly any low end at all. It would have made the show have a lot more impact for me (and the others I went with as well) if the level had been a solid 6-10dB louder. Sometime after the show, we had a Floyd cover band at my venue. I got to mix the show they way I thought it should be mixed ;)

Re: Roger Waters

Wow. Thanks for the link! We saw the show in Chicago (our seats sucked - were under the upper deck, and out of the pattern of pretty much anything. And couldn't see much, either) and then again in Pittsburgh (6th row floor, just house left of center). Wow. Just. Wow. The Pittsburgh show, which felt smaller because it was indoors, was still mind-bending since we were down where we could actually see Waters well and were close enough to the Wall to be immersed. And we were in the surround field, so we got the full experience. Those seats weren't cheap, but totally worth it. My wife, whose idea it was to go to the Pittsburgh show, was as blown away as I was.
