Routing I/O of Multiple Consoles

I have used a dbx4800 to switch between one analog and one digital and have also used the APB mix switch for analog desks. The APB unit is quite slick. A BSS Soundweb could be configured to switch as many desks as you could think of.... analog and digital.

Re: Routing I/O of Multiple Consoles

We have sometimes used a Yamaha PM1D as both the "house console" and as a routing matrix for guest desks. It's nice that the DSP "brain" and I/O is on stage, even if the actual console is at FOH, makes the wiring setups very tidy. Other desks that could be considered for the same type setup could be PM5D With a DSP5D or various offerings from A&H Ilive-series.

Re: Routing I/O of Multiple Consoles

When I first saw the SD11 I thought that it would be a perfect console for a show with multiple consoles and a few production elements (i.e. few lavs, podium, playback). Especially in cities where real estate can be an issue.
