I've previously been using a couple different models of windows tablets, and always found getting the correct level of precision (especially on rotary controls) to be a challenge which slowed me down enough for it to be a problem in really fast paced environments (I'm talking festivals with 10-15 minute complete stage changeover type arrangements and 2 man crew type stuff). It's been fine in lower pressure scenarios like single band shows where there is actually time for more than a quick line check. I won't be working with Avid stuff as often in the next while though as I sold my SC48 recently and have not replaced it with another touring console - just crossrenting currently.
