SD App SD SC2 Connection help

Hi,

Taking the opportunity to take an SD11 with SC2 for a spin this weekend. Trying to get my ipad to connect to console no dice.

Console IP address is 192.168.2.61 - I haven't figured out how to change but that's ok, I can work with that.

I've changed my WAP to work with that range; and i've got my ipad set for manual IP address of 192.168.2.10

I've got inet tools on ipad; I can use it to ping both the WAP and the console; I get successful results.

When I load the SD SC2 app on my ipad, I get a screen asking for Connection name, Desk IP, Send Port and Receive Port. Two buttons next to this are connections and Off Line Demo.

In red I can see the words "wifi off"; next to it my ip address of 192.168.2.10; and network name.

Desk IP address is red 192.168.0.x - obviously not what I want.

On this screen there is a round apple time thing - just going round in circles next to Connection name. This went on for minutes - nonstop - it just does not stop while i've got the app open.

The ONLY control I can touch on this screen is OffLine Demo - all other controls do not respond to touch.

I figure what I need to do is set the correct desk IP, send port and receive port but if I can't touch them, I can't change it.

I suspect this is because of the red WIFI OFF. What does this mean ? If I go back to inet tools I can ping just fine so I am connected to the network with console on it.

ipad version 10.0.2 (14A456)
SD SC2 App version 2.0.0 (0.2)

Anyone ?

TIA,

Andrew

IT's SC2 but, I don't think that matters at this stage. The ipad app will not accept any entry other than "OffLine Demo" - so I can't put the desk IP in, I can't set the ports; and there is the red wifi off thing.

If there was a problem with console on SC1 and app being SC2, I would expect that to have issues once IP and ports entered and I tried to connect.

I suspect this is an issue with SD App and iOS 10 :(

I've also found someone else in Australia who has had the exact same issue once they upgraded their ipad to 10 as well; they were working fine on whatever their previous version was.

It's an issue with iPad 10. See this post from FB Digico Users page -

"Have a look at the screen guys... it says wifi off!!!

Often happens when ipad doesn't get a gateway.
At the iPads network settings enter ip, subnet, a madeup router ip, and a madeup dns in the same ip range...

That should fix it!"
