Hello,

First post here on soundforums but I'm a film/video mixer. I'm active on the JWsound group forums if you're looking for a reference.

I have for sale a pretty large and thorough package of Sennheiser wireless mics. 8x SK50 transmitters, 8x EK3041 receivers, 9 Lav mics, and an 8-channel rack unit mounted in a 2U SKB case for the receivers to slot in for RF distribution.

This is all located in Chicago but I'm willing to ship it out at the buyers expense (pretty heavy/large package). If in the US I'd probably prefer a check to avoid the PayPal fees but we can talk about that.

Please email me if you're interested or have questions. $4000 Thanks! -Derek

Below are the nitty gritty details:

INCLUDES:
6x EK3041 Receivers 584-608 MHz (Serial Numbers: 109588, 106957, 109679, 106953, 111184, 111170, 106946, 10967)
2x EK3041 Receivers 674-698 MHz (Serial Numbers: 108400, 107874)

6x SK50 Transmitters 584-608 MHz (Serial Numbers: 328969, 329060, 311466, 303347, 303349, 315532)
2x SK50 Transmitters 674-698 MHz (Serial Numbers: 328875, 327499)
9x Lavs (4x Senn MKE 2-4, 3x Lectro M152, 1x OST white TL40, 1x Countryman B6 blue band low-sens)
2x Quadbox-3041, mounted side by side in a single SKB 2U case, wired with RG-58, powered via NP1-cup (included). (Serial Numbers: 1202, 1020)
1x 8-channel XLR snake with DB connector breakaways ~5 feet. (Planet Waves brand)

Receiver Accessories:
8x Sleeves for mounting XLR adapter bottom
8x XLR & DC power adapter bottom
8X AA battery sleds (used in conjunction with XLR adapter for stand-alone or bag use)
1x Hirose 4p to 4x Hirose 4P (bag powering cable for four receivers, with XLR-4P breakaway)
- Extra hardware
-Extra antennas

Transmitter & Lav Accessories:
- Extra Antennas
- Ambient Eumel 48V Phantom XLR adapter for lavs
- 1x XLR-F to Lemo mic input cable for transmitters (can be used with padded mixer output)
- Lav Bullet
- Assorted tie-clips, foams, windscreens

NOTES:
- All pieces in good working condition. If you're not familiar with these they are Sennheisers previous top of the line models. Very high quality audio via Hi-Dyn compander. All analog systems. Comparable to Lectro 200 series in build-quality and fidelity. Very thin transmitters which are easy to hide in costume, also they are light on batteries and will run all day on a set of NiMH or lithium AA. The SK50s are 50mW units. Fairly straight-forward menu system on the receiver though no backlight so bring a flashlight! ; )
- Four of the 584 MHz SK50s and one of the 674 MHz SK50s have two sets of frequencies programmed and you can select which set to use with the red switch under the freq label. See pics for description and frequency list. All receivers are programmed for receiving all 32 frequencies.
- A few of the receivers have a few garbled characters on their LCD screens. They still function normally, tune and receive all channels.
- Two of the XLR bottom adapters output -10 consumer line-level the rest are mic-level output. The two line-ish level adapters can be converted to mic level if you like. (Just have to de-solder one thing on the PCB)
- These are still serviced by Sennheiser and replacement parts are readily available.
- Sennheiser could "re-block" these to some degree. The lower block units have a serviceable range of 550-698 and the two higher block channels have a range of 674-800. This would have to be done by a trained tech. They can program anything you like within a 25MHz block.
- New Endian "Freq Finder" app for iOS or Android supports these models and can be used to help coordinate RF.

IMG_6602.jpgPlease note that this picture of the transmitters shows 10 transmitters but 2 are now gone so only the first 8 pictured here come with this sale.IMG_6606.jpgIMG_6609.jpgIMG_6616.jpg

Re: Sennheiser 3000 Wireless with rack - 8 channels! $4000

Just a note its illegal to operate the higher block packs within the US

Incorrect, these are all programmed to operate below 700MHz which is legal. Maybe you misunderstood the last part of the post. For two of the channels you could have the Sennheiser factory re-block them to be above 700 but currently they are all set to legal frequencies for use in the US.

They are currently programmed as 6x channels in the 584-607 MHz block and 2x channels in 674-698 MHz but if you want a different block of frequencies the units can be re-programmed at the factory to anything within the range of 550-698 for the first 6 units and 674-800 for the last 2. Sennheiser manufactured these in only 3 or 4 different hardware skus and would then tune each unit to operate within a 25MHz block somewhere within that range. The frequencies could be whatever you want within a 25MHz window within the units overall range.

Make sense?

Anyone who is curious about this I would encourage you to give Sennheiser USA a call (860-434-9190) and talk to a service tech about it. They can probably explain it better than I am here.

Thanks!
