I may need to invest in a couple more sets of IEMs this year. Are there any gotchas (other than the obvious loss of stereo) to running in dual mono mode - one transmitter to two packs? Sound quality issues? Sennheiser sells a package with two packs, so it can't be that terrible, but I don't see it done very often, and am curious what I'm missing.

I just got the same IEM.
No funny stuff, no gotchas. Works as advertised. A bonus : ear pieces work surprisingly well out of the box.

Only one drawback:
The transmission is in stereo, technically. In some venues I experienced serious HF multipath issues, I am not sure, how this would degrade the dual mono experience.
Other than that: feed 2 channels, both packs in focus mode, one left, one right.
