Sent/Replied messages in PM's??

How come when I reply to a message that I receive in a PM I can't see it in my *sent* messages??
Shouldn't I be able to?
I have coresponded with a few people via PM's today and know when I go back and look at them I can only see what they sent me, I can't see what I sent them?

I don't know what I said to them !!

HELP!
