Re: Shure PSM-300 vs. Senn. EW-300 IEMs I've not had the chance of using it at battle station yet. I've tested it though and found that it performs quite well, even on bass. There is no percived latency and its quite noiseless. It doesn't feel companded. The sound quality is overall quite good. It is still an analog system even though it does some dsp stuff. There is no actual limiter as I first though. The 'limiter' only caps the max output level of the volume control. One nice feature when the 'limiter' is engaged is that the volume control still works over the full range, giving you a finer control of your level. It has more than enough output to deliver a very high signal to your phones. The metal bodypack feels solid and I wouldn't be too afraid to drop it. Since this isn't a diversity system you'll likely to encounter some deadspots but it handles that quite well without giving you a huge noise blast into your ears. One nice feature is that it is compatible with the psm charger stations if you want to run it with rechargables. The freqs are not fully compatible with the bigger psm's so one need to pay attention if a mixed system is used. According to the faq they share some compatibility but it isn't recommended to interchange them unless you know what you are doing. Overall, I'm pleased with and I've heard of no issues yet. I got the 600mhz band that gives me 30mW, a better range and realibility compared to the 800 band that has a lesser output as well.
