I've got a gig tomorrow that I don't have a lot of stage room and have a lack of SDC mics. Would an SM or Beta 98 clamped to the stand and micing from below work ok? I know Neil Peart's kit had 98's on some splash/accent cymbals and wondering if anybody's done it before with a ride.
