Smartphone based IEMs exist?

Have a band telling me another sound guy says be can do IEM audio streams over WiFi to smartphones.

I replied I'm not aware of any solutions that can actually stream the audio, but he's certain of it. Have I missed some new tech that can do this? Far as I know it's just the mix you can control (which he specifically said he's not after), not actual audio streaming.

How much latency? Drop-outs? Sound quality? WiFi hearing assist exists, but not IEM's at pro grade.

Smartphone audio stream with iem, sure, absolutely no problem!
Smartphone audio stream with iem for monitor use by a performing artist, no way, absolutely no way, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise!!!!!!
