Not compared to if they used something like Middle Atlantic HSK 10-32 3/4" Square Drive Security HSK or Security Rack Screws - PNTX, that might be excessive.

Im guilty of using 2 rack screws on lighter stuff and panels sometimes.

They look like they require a #3 phillips bit rather than the usual #2, which makes them excessive in my book.

Being that Helge is from the Metric majority of the world I expect these are M6 screws as I think that's their rack standard.
All the M6 screw's I've worked with use P3 heads.

Pz3 is the correct bit.
And to be honest, this started out as a simple project. I just wanted to test the AES forwarding in the network patch on JBLs V-racks. So I thougt I'd bring the Lake for that. And then I unloaded the cp-10 from a fxrack and sold the rack with some stuff, so I thougt I should bring it along for fun and test it. It's a really nice piece of equipment, but in reality the Lake is better for a lot of what we do. Fun having a real knob to turn instead of a mouse though. And I'm having a unknown dj this weekend and no console, so the Xl42 and the Bss came along for that. And then I found one of my old amp racks.....
Suddenly one piece of processing turned into a 5u rack.
