I mostly do run-and-gun gigs these days, where i have an hour to set up in a ballroom that's at the top of steep stairs, and an hour to tear down. I'm going to amps where two of them in a hand-carry case is liftable in one hand, and with processing built in so that they're easy plug-and-play.On the other hand, the old Crest amps are still fantastic for anyone who is either doing a fixed install, or who has the ability to use rolling cabinets for their gigs. I've carried six in a cabinet to the top of stadium stairs before, and it was not fun. But with a lift gate, rolling that same rack into the facility and hooking it up was fine.
