I've seen that one also. Makes you wonder what goes on sometimes on EBAY. Maybe Johm get younger with age? He could make A LOT more money selling that formula.

I saw a catalog that I was interested in. The name said one thing-and the photo of the item was a completely different type of item. I was looking at a speaker catalog and the photo was a processing device (by a totally different manufacturer).

I have sent a couple of messages to the seller as to which one is correct. Have not received a response. So I wonder what he really is selling or what you would get?

One of my first summer jobs was working in "the morgue" of one of the big daily newspapers in Colorado pulling and re-filing archived photographs as requested by the editorial and newsroom staff.

So I have some experience deciphering the notes and stamps on the back of this photo.

It's from the Detroit News - "our" John Meyer is from Berkeley California.

The ad says "1954" but that's just the last time this photo was pulled from the files and re-used. The shot was taken and first processed by the newspaper in 1943. The founder of Meyer Sound Labs wasn't quite born yet.

The man in the photo is John "Spike" Meyers - with an "s" at the end of his name.

I think the seller didn't even read the rest of the bio he copied from Wikipedia OR the back of the photo.

Okay, I'll stop showing off now ;-).
