Probably an odd subject line, but eh....I just saw this pop up somewhere and it sort of got my attention. It looks almost too good to be true. Who thinks this is legit and who thinks this isn't? Part of me says "Oh this'll be good for people trying to get work" but then the other half says "Sooooo is just anyone going to get on this and be hired?" Thoughts anyone? Also, haven't been on in a while, so hello again to everybody :D~:-D~

Great concept, as long as they have enough people signed up, and there is the ability to weed out problem providers and workers. i.e., if the provider is required to review the worker after the shift for performance and competence, and the worker is required to review the provider for work and pay conditions, it would be a wonderful tool. If it's just a list of people, then it's no better than Craigslist.

Excellent point Brian. A feedback system similar to eBay would be a minimum. Some type of accountability on both ends could actually make it a viable option for this industry. From an employer perspective I would have to feel confident that the folks would actually show up and also possess the skill set required for the job. There should also be a rating for attitude somewhere as well. It will be interesting to see if this develops into anything.

I don't know. Feels kind of low brow to me. Like entry level, work your ass off for $400 a week for one nighter bus and truck tours. And it looks like it's geared almost exclusively towards rock and roll tours and festivals. Any theatre tours? corporate gigs? film or television?

Oh and it appears to be exclusively non-union too.
