I saw it a while back and was amused. It is, however, important to note that it's an idiot soundguy versus a jazz drummer.
The sad thing is that a lot of that is true. Back when I was in the rental side of the industry, I would get compliments all time about how much they (non rock type artists) like the fact that I didn't make them sound like a "rock band". I heard it all the time that often they hated playing larger places because the sound company tried to make everything sound like a rock band-when it wasn't.

The whole idea (with some exceptions) is to transfer the sound of the band to the audience and not try to make it something it is not. Rock bands excluded from that statement. The PA sound is part of the "sound" for that genre.
I feel like I have encountered that sound guy/drummer. I was waiting for him to tell us about his experience as an electrians assistant, or what a really great sub driver is when the conversation was about speaker systems. Or when either of those failed posting a picture of an overdone 80's style one of everything drum kit.
That's what SHE said!"Why is it so small?"
