I have Freedom Fest. coming up in a few weeks. I'll be on an Expression 3. https://www.facebook.com/FreedomFest2014. When you patch the effects up to layer 1 as in this video link does the layer 2 effects master sends link to those on layer 1? Effects changes on layer 1 also be translated to layer 2? I may have the drums on layer 2 and it may be nice to have the effects masters still on this layer 2 even with them patched to layer one. Looks like they may be linked but was unsure as the manual was unclear.

Thanks;

Re: Soundcraft Expression 3 patch.

You'll have the same channel on both faders. That's what he's showing at 1:38, he turned it up on layer 1 and when he looked at it on layer 2 it was in the same place.

They aren't "linked" it's more than that, they're actually the same channel, that channel just appears in two places.

A really obvious way to demonstrate that would be to put the same channel on two separate faders on the same layer so you can see them both at once.

Once channel, multiple locations.

Thanks Chris;

I do the same thing with my Yamaha boards but was unsure if it was the same general setup.

Thanks again;
