Soundcraft Mini Stagebox with Behringer X32/X-MADI?

In a few months, I'm going to be re-mounting a show in a theatre which has its own Soundcraft Si Expression 3 and Cat5 MADI snake to an on-stage Soundcraft Mini Stagebox (I can't remember if it's the 32/16 or 16/8 version, but hopefully in this context they are the same).

I am doing the show right now with my X32 and an analog snake for the band, and because I will have all the DCA assignment automation and effects set up on this board, I want to use it again in the other space rather than having to redo everything from scratch (the Soundcraft doesn't even have DCAs anyway).

My question is will the Soundcraft box (and their existing ~150' cable) play nice with my X32 if I get an X-MADI card?

On top of that, how does pre-amp gain control work over MADI anyway? Obviously the Soundcraft board can control it, but is that a proprietary command overlay, or is it part of the MADI protocol such that the X32 will be able to do it too?

If it comes to it, I can borrow a longer analog snake (the one I'm using now is too short for that bigger theatre) and go old-skool, but since they already have the stage-box set up and all the house wireless receivers and stage monitors patched into it, it would be nice to just use it...

So you want to use your X32 with the Soundcraft stage box? You're first problem is the X-MADI card is optical and BNC and the snake is CAT5.

I pondered trying to rent an S16, but couldn't find anywhere local that had one, and I am led to believe that these devices are fairly fussy about the Cat5 cable quality, so there was a reasonable chance it wouldn't have worked reliably anyway.
