It is possible to achieve the same functionality using two of the four matrix busses:
Matrix 1 Output Patch 1: Left to Output 2 and Right to Output 4
Matrix 1 Output Patch 2: Left to Output 5 and Right to Unused
Matrix 2 Output Patch 1: Left to Output 6 and Right to Unused
Matrix 2 Output Patch 2: Left to Output 7 and Right to Unused
Simply set the LR contribution to each matrix at unity.
In my application, I would probably not need this, but in diverse environments I can imagine you would.
I know the Expression does not have all of the capabilities of more expensive digital boards.
I see your points about the limited flexibility:
- L and R (stereo pair) have to go to two adjacent outputs.
- You can have at most 2 output patches per bus (mono or stereo).
