I'll be mixing an upcoming show on Vi3000 console. Since I have no in depth experience (except for a couple of hit 'n run festival type of shows) with a console, I'm trying to prepare as much as possible with an offline editor. The only thing I'm not sure about is FX patching. I was able to patch matrix outputs to FX even though manual says you can only patch FX to aux masters or as a channel inserts. Can someone confirm that its possible to use matrices as a FX source?
Second question is related to the white bars in a FX menu page above and belove "FX icons". Every FX I use is "stereo in/stereo out" type but there are still different number and position of white bars. I couldn't find an explanation for this in a manual. I'd expect two bars above Lex1 and Lex4. I'd like to use stereo delay as a dual mono with identical time&feedback settings, but independent mono sends and returns.
Lex1 is feed from stereo aux
Lex2 is inserted on stereo aux master
Lex3 is feed from mono matrix
Lex4 is feed from two mono auxes
