Studio Manager & LS9 questions

Alright so this past NYE’s event I was using my LS9-32 on Monitors and the FOH tech was using Studio Manager to control the mains. However I did run into 1 hiccup, when you Select a Channel on Studio Manager it would also change the display on the LS9.

I feel as if there was an “option” that I deselected that allows Studio Manager to operate independently from the LS9-32.

Re: Studio Manager & LS9 questions

In SETUP -> User Setup -> Preferences there is a section called 'Panel Operation'. I think 'Auto Channel Select' is what you need change.

question - would you have run into this problem, if he was mixing FOH on ch 1-32, and you drove monitors on 33-64 ? That's the way I've set mine up... it also give monitor channels seperate eq etc... ?

Correct... I just aligned the HA 1-32 one for one onto Layer 2 (33-64). And this became my monitor desk; I did very minimal EQ'ing, very light compression on a few channels. I do the FOH/Monitor split layer with another band I regularly work with.
