I am a current High School student looking for a summer internship/program focused in sound design. If you know of any, please post below!

Re: Summer Help

"Sound design" can mean many different things.

Are you talking about installed systems?

Touring systems?

Small portable systems?

Studio systems?

The components of the system? Speakers-amps-mixers-mics etc.

Focusing on what interests you, not only helps YOU decide-but also helps others help you.

Also stating your current experience would help give ideas.

Are you looking for a paid position or a true "internship" for experience?

Just trying to help you think things through

Re: Summer Help

First off - no. Pay matters. You just haven't realized that yet. Never say pay doesn't matter to you publicly.

Nice resume. I'm sure it's formatted nicely to fit on one page or sheet. However, here are some things we will want to know:
-What year are you going to graduate (for many reasons, namely so that we know how many years you've been in high school (it would seem you're a Senior) and also when we can hire you for real, if we like you)
-What makes you different from the other couple thousand people like us (can go in cover letter)
-Are you pursuing a higher education degree (it's nice to know for similar reasons above)
-Where do you want to see yourself in, say, five years?

Sorry about being short right now - it's late and I'm too tired to sit and explain a lot. I was you a year or two ago and I've learned some things along the way, and I'm more than willing to share pointers with you. I'd also like to get to know you.

Shoot me an email, and we'll talk - it'll be fun. Until today, good night. I can't think straight.
