I'm the original owner - bought new in 2004, these have never left my house. They were intended for a 6.1 home theatre setup, but that never really happened. They are the active version without DSP (not iDP), so analog XLR inputs. Here is a link to the manual if you'd like the specs.
These use the classic Tannoy 8" dual concentric driver with a super tweeter on top. They do look like UFOs, but sound fantastic.
These are not light - about 40 lbs each, so you'll need a solid (ideally counterweighted) stand to put them on. That said, I would prefer to meet/pickup rather than ship, but if you're serious we can talk packing and shipping.
