TCM1 as an output delay unit

I feel like I've asked about this before, so feel free to redirect me to my own thread if I have...

Anyway, there's a gig with a keynote speaker in a main hall, and audio needs to get to two overflow rooms, both of which may be able to hear the main speakers.

In the past I have used the TCm1's one-tap delay for one set of fills, but can I use its dual fx engine to have two different output delay settings?

Re: TCM1 as an output delay unit

There shouldn't be a problem, but you have to take into consideration a couple of things:

1. The manual lists the M-One input latency at 0.65ms and the output latency at 0.63ms, which adds up to 1.28ms total latency for the unit - over 1ft. of delay already introduced. The M-One XL's input and output latencies are exactly the same. Digital connections' latencies - a la S/PDIF - are only 0.1ms, if you're going digital.

2. Change the Routing to "Dual Mono" so each channel of the unit is it's own FX unit, Feedback to 0% so there are no repeats, and the Mix knob to 100% Wet so that you are only getting the affected signal and not the original, undelayed signal. The "Bal." knob should be centered.
