They're awesome. Like most mics, they work better on some sources than others. Especially wonderful on snare.

A little crispy, but well behaved. Can give you that cut you're looking for. Some artists love it.

They also have the newer M81 out, which has a flatter top so it's not as crispy. I haven't heard it yet... but the M80 is more popular as a capsule for wireless handhelds than I would have originally thought. Several guys using our HH are using it with the M80 and really like it, claiming that it has really good rejection.
