If things work out as planned(long story), I'll be heading over to the US and Canada for a tour later this year doing FOH for Vreid, Kampfar and Necronomicon.

Since this is my first visit to North America, I am really looking forward to this tour, but I'm curious about what to expect, and I have little or no information about the clubs we're visiting.
Any information about the clubs would be of great help, so if anybody have som info they could share it would make me a happy little sound guy :)

I live 1km from Foufounes and know the main tech there really well (He does a lot of work all around the city and his office/shop is within their facility).

*Edit*I happen to have a picture of the amp room in my email which I've attached for no particular reason. PA is older but good JBL, but I haven't actaully stepped foot in there for years. If I'm around I'll try to stop by the show.

I can get you more up to date info later this week as I'm in the US working with another Canadian very familiar with the venue.

PS. Foufounes mean 'ass' or butt cheeks in Quebec, but something very different in France...
PPS. Winnipeg is in Manitoba, Canada, not Minnesota, USA (though I'm sure that's just a typo - I wouldn't want the border to come as a surprise if you know what I mean!)

Re: The Black Path Of America Tour 2011

Hi there,
My name is Jason Borys, I am the FOH engineer for the Pawnshop in Edmonton Canada. If you have any questions feel free to hit m up, I would be glad to answer anything i can.

Re: The Black Path Of America Tour 2011

The Rickshaw is rough. We had serious issues with the monitor engineer and the PA is not nearly powerful enough for that room. That said, the crowd was incredible and the show ended up being fine, but the neighborhood is not a pleasant one.

You'll have a fun time at Branx. Portland is a great town, and the club is fairly close to the river, the weather will be nice in September too.
