Except the TM array has all subs firing inward at the same time. The pressure wave then expands from a single point evenly 360 degrees (when viewed from above).
The Vortex setup has some subs firing in and some out, with multiple end-fire time alignments for a 180 degree plus dispersion pattern (when viewed from above). Unless I'm missing something.
