Trick in Audacity to make Mono into Stereo

I am sure you are all familiar with the software Audacity. While I was fiddling about with it one day, I discovered this little trick that makes otherwise flat-sounding mono-tracks sound like stereo. I think it might interest you?

I have been using this trick to bring the soundtracks of many old DOS games to have a fuller, livelier experience that they may not have had before. What do you think?

If its imperceptible to the human mind than how do we hear it?

If flamming and/or phase cancellation sounds good for you then go nuts I guess.

I remember purchasing quite a few LP's which had been " electronically enhanced to simulate stereo". That was half a century ago...
