Hi we are a company in goa. We are liking to purchase a line array capable of handling an event of 5000-10000 people. Band as well as electronic artist.

It has been recommended to us to pick the turbo sound flex for the same since we get more boxes for the same price of the flashline.* We need 12box a side for main stage and 6-8box a side for the two other smaller stages.

We are looking to get a total of 48tops and 32subs of the flex.

Just want to know will this petticoat model be good enough to deliver for the events mentioned above??

We were also considering the Jbl vertec Vtx or the Rcf TT 55/56 A.
But due to budgets will be able to pick only 24boxes in the same budget.

Re: Turbo flex or another brand bit stuck.

Greetings Andre-

Before you decide a line array is the format for your applications, I strongly suggest you learn how to physically measure the audience areas you need to cover, then use manufacturer's coverage prediction software to see what a given system will actually do. You will find that to provide reasonably even tonal coverage over both distance and height will require LOTS more speakers than you might presume.

The Turbo Flex is a nice speaker system, but it's not got the output of VTX or the RCF TT55 I think you need to do the predictions to see just how much difference there will be. Simply adding more speakers to the line will not make it louder (not of the order of 10dB, anyway), although you'll gain more directivity at increasingly lower frequencies as the line length increases and will allow you to cover taller venues (upper bowl of an arena, top balcony of a theater, etc.

If you are doing electronic dance events you will need a significant investment in subwoofers, too, possibly as much as you'll spend on tops for the same event. EDM requires both loud and low, which means "big _and_ expensive."

Good luck, Andre.

Re: Turbo flex or another brand bit stuck.

Thanks. Yea done the measurements and the flex gives me an output of 110spl for 12 a side tops. Spread is fine just worried about the output. Don't think it will be enough. Think we will look at the turbo for the two smaller stages and Rcf for the main stage. Think 12a side tt55 should do the trick for now at least. Then we could build on them in the next buying spree.
