TV troubles

We bought a converter box for our big old analog TV when the change-over came along. Recently I get a big, black rectangle obscuring most of the lower half of the screen. Happens at random and on different channels. Any of you video guys have any ideas on what's going on? It worked flawlessly up until the last month or so.

I suspect you inadvertently poked a CC button on your remote (I did and it resulted in a similar/same outcome).

I suggest handing your remote to a 4yo. and let them figure it out... should only take a few seconds to correct the problem in the hands of the appropriate trained digital savy person.

Yup. I just got off the Google and that's what did it. I don't have a 4 year old, but I suspect that one of the 8 year old cats who like to push buttons on things is the guilty party......
