Re: U2 360 By the Numbers

Could something like that even meet code as a permanent structure? surely electrical code etc. all changes once its permanent..

Jason

Hello,

Do you mean: meet code with or without the Sound, Video, Lighting and Pyro gear? In the US, the temporary Electrical system (cables, distro, etc...) would all have to be made permanent with Conduit and Nema code enclosures following NEC code. In other Countries...it's Country dependent... some Countries have no real enforced codes.

If the structure was to be used for a skeleton of a building in the U.S., it would more than meet commercial structural codes, but may have to be coated with a fire retardant/corrosion sealer.

I can imagine someone like Steve Jobs buying the structure and having some futuristic home built on the top.... reminds me of the "spaceship house" in California.

Cheers,
Hammer
