[QUOTE="John Steven, post: 59188, member: 1721"] Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A Hi Dave, I've already posted above but just in case; My name is John Steven and I am a Customer Support Manager for Behringer, responsible for looking after our direct sale partners and distributors in several regions including the UK. Let me please try and clear up some of the questions about price of the X32. Many of the prices that were advertised online after we first showed the X32 under glass at NAMM 2011 were based on our "target" price of around $2,500. However we did not actually offer any confirmed pricing to our customers until Pro Light & Sound 2012. At PLS many of our customers thought that we should ship X32 with the Firewire card included. We decided that this was a good idea and we confirmed final pricing to them shortly afterwards. Behringer is not responsible by law for end user pricing in Europe, this is solely down to the discretion of the retailer. As Jason Lavoie quite rightly points out, it would not be unusual in this industry, as in others, for competitive major retailers to track each other prices. But we are not in control of this. Also, when retailers decide to take deposits on products without actually knowing when they will receive it, this is also not something that we can be held responsible for. Behringer has a unique business model, a model which allows us to deliver on Uli's philosophy; the best possible product and the most affordable price. That is our benchmark as a company! All of the customers that buy directly from Behringer know how our process and order system works and should plan accordingly. The first X32 shipments will arrive in the UK in approximately five to six weeks, perhaps slightly less. What information a retailer chooses to share with its customers is again not under our control, but as a company we are making ourselves accessible to answer your questions and we greatly appreciate your feedback. I have worked in this industry for 25 years in Sales, Marketing & PR for many of the biggest brands, no other company is as committed to driving down the costs and pushing up the quality and reliability of its products.
