Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my console for live sound

I currently use a Presonus Studio Live 16.4.2

Currently looking at the Soundcraft SI-Compact 24

I was looking for help as to which one is the equivalent in the Yamaha series so I can review it

Any opinions are greatly appreciated, but I need to stay within soundcraft or Yamaha which are accepted here by the big players.

I need more auxes, delays on all channels, better sound quality, a better reverb and more channels

Thanks,

Yamaha is a little dated on their low end options. The next level up from a StudioLive would be:

SI-Compact
SI-Performer
A&H GLD
Midas Pro1
and possibly the Behringer X32

After using the Presonus for over a year and now owning the X32 I can classify it as a definite upgrade..:)

Re: Upgrading Console

Now that it is Behringer I don´t know

But most techs here know Yamaha and Soundcraft

Thanks,

An LS9 could be your best bet if you have guest engineers... I am always happy to see them and always have a show file for them with me.
If the Pro1 could meet your needs and stay in budget, I doubt many would be unhappy to give it a try, but you'll have to be on hand to answer lots of questions constantly.

LS9 & an iPad make for an easy walk-on night.
