Uplighting has had a great ROI for my business up until this year. More and more venues in the area have been installing “uplighting” in their rooms and providing it to the client at no extra cost!
Since all the venues are competing with each other I figured id get in on the install action. After going to one of my regular venues and talking to a buddy, I find out that the installs are under contract with “two guys” (freelance) and “custom lights” (Chinese imports?)!
Its very upsetting that these guys are killing one of my revenue streams, installing cheap hardware and performing sub par work. On top of that you then have the venue that doesn't know how to control them or forgets about them and the whole room is strobing in color scroll the entire night!
