Using DBX ZC-3 zone controller with another system

Is it possible to use a DBX ZC-3 (or any controller from their Zone system) with another DSP that has analog control inputs?

I am set on a different DSP (BSS BLU-50) for a variety of reasons but would like to use the DBX volume/source controllers because of their form factor and low cost. BSS doesnt make a simple white wall-plate volume control/source select. The ZC-1 and ZC-3 is just that.

Is their wiring protocol proprietary or could it be made to work with the control inputs on the BLU-50?

Edit: DBX controllers only work with DBX processors.

So who makes a 10k ohm to 100k ohm linear resistance rotary switch mounted in a white decora wall plate? Or will this have to be custom?

Couple of options

Just a note not sure if you need today but we just had a dog and pony show from BSS and they have wall controls coming out to use with the Blu products that will have the same form factor as the DBX in about a month or so. Had some of them in the demo truck to show.
