Here's a new one: We need to install some additional racks in our warehouse. Does anyone know what regulation (in NJ) covers their installation and bolting to the floor? I want to make sure our contractor does it right.

I am well aware of WHY I want them bolted down! I just want to know if there's a standard, or if I should just consult the manufacturer.

I think that would fall under OSHA standard 1926 subpart H
you would just have to find out if NJ meets or exceeds federal standards. I know Cali has higher than OSHA standards on such things due to siesmic issues. Quite possibly installing your racks to CalOSHA spec would exceed any NJ regulations.
And there actually may not be any standards as I know many osha-conforming warehouses that don't have their racks bolted down!
