Re: Whats better the Yamaha HPH-MT220 or Audio Technica M50x?
Tough one. The Extreme EX29 allows one to hear more of the elements of a mix than the Senny 280, any of the Shures, or the 7506 (yuk). But it has oddities in the mid and the highs are soft. Great isolation though. It think it was an AT50 I heard, and it was quite good, but the bass was too heavy and the isolation wasn't very good. I've never tried it while mixing to see what I could discern clearly, and what was just a bunch of noise (the Senny, Shure, and Sony are mostly noise).
