I dont know about the iphone but some cell phones I have had will still alarm with the phone turned off. That is a pity though. Wrong place wrong time. I was expecting a picture of Bennett.

Mahler 9 is such a dramatic piece that to have it ruined by a cell phone is a tragedy. I was at a performance of the Beethoven 9 many years ago, when a cell phone went off during the beginning of the 4th movement. The funny thing is that it was in the same key as the music.
