K&M 259 series is what we use for small stands, also with SHORT legs. For smaller/harder to put a stand in stuff (say bottom snare) where the mic weight isn't an issue (I wouldn't recommend a RE20 or beta 52), we use a small (apex/atlas?) V stand.Otherwise I think we've cut down ms10 and ms6 straight stands and rethreaded them into short round base stands and added a boom.BRad
