Re: Which Heil Mic to use?The gain doesn't affect what the mic picks up, just how much that signal gets amplified. Can you lower the stand a bit and point the mic up at him rather than coming in horizontally? That should get less of the kit, and IEM's mean you won't have any issues with wedge placement.Chris
