In the last month and a half I have been as far north as Westminster MA (Smaart training), as far south as Jacksonville Fl, as far west as Lexington KY, from MD to NC twice and to SW VA once.
Last Saturday, I broke down about 40 miles west of Beckley WV, was towed into a dealership, had to rent a car, still beat the band's van to the evening gig, and yesterday I spent 14 hours driving back to Beckley to pick up my truck and drop off the rental car.
In the meantime, the band has been to CO and back without me,and are currently in NM. I rejoin them in SW VA next weekend.
As much as I love the band engineer thing, I am starting to think maybe it is time to look for a house gig. Or in James McMurtry's words " We hit the road and then it started hitting back"
