Thanks Bennett. Would a "zip tie" work to attach the mic to the end of it and not damage the instrument? I suppose that would affect the vibrations coming off.  Would it work to "mount" the lapel on a small mic stand located at the mouth of the didg that way its not physically attached to the instrument?
