Just looking to see how others do this... If you're hired by a band to travel with them into another country to do shows for them, who typically arranges for and pays for the work visas?

The band/management pays, they either fix it or I do it myself and invoice them

The promoter who is bringing us over to the first country in the EU we play in usually takes care of the work permits. The same thing for Japan and Australia.

We have a service that specializes in work visas and passport stuff for entertainment (Global Access of Los Angeles). Tour pays for everything.

I'm nearing the end of a 3 month European tour right now and the tour hired Global Access to handle all Visas.
