looking to buy one used Crown itech 6000 OR 2 4000's. I would prefer 2 4000's if the price is right so i can have more channels for monitor duty.

Yeah...main purpose is sub duty...alternative use as a monitor rack...

Thanks Lee! Glad to have been redirected from over there at PSW...i was wondering why their new forums seemed to be missing some people...

Silas...things are going pretty good for me down here...I have a line on a used 8000 for around $1700.00. Unfortunately, thats a little over my budget. My subs are 1200 Watts RMS @ 3 Ohm's. (3x 18's per box)
Looking for something that can provide 2K Watts+ per channel. My tops run off of the XTI series but i've heard too many times that they don't do well on sub duty.

Richard, if you're not specifically in need of the DSP in the I-Techs, I recommend you find some of the QSC PL6 or PL9 amps that pop up around here for sale around $1300 or less. They'll do the job perfectly for you.

Re: WTB : Crown itech 6000 or two 4000's

I need the DSP in the amps...i designed the system to use amps with DSP. I don't want to go dropping an extra $1k on a DR260...by the time i spend 1300 on an amp and 1k on a DR260 i would be in deeper than the cost of a good used IT-8000.
