Re: WTF is going on in Norway? Hello all. I guess even the darkest cloud has a silver lining, two things are making myself and many other Norwegians fell a little better today: First of all, there has been some sort of casualty miscount after the shooting and the casualty number seems to be 68 instead of 86. That's 18 teenagers that will live to see adulthood. Second of all, there has been a massive movement (largely on Facebook and organized by private citizens) to gather in town squares all over the country at 18.00 CET today to lay flowers, light candles and participate in a symbolic walk holding either torches or roses (which next to the traditional symbolism also is the symbol of the labour party). In our capital city, Oslo, where the bombing took place, a city of 500 000 citizens, around 200 000 people gathered in front of city hall. In my little city, Lillehammer, a city of around 21 000 citizens, the local newspaper is reporting online that the estimate for the crowd size is up to 15 000. Story and photo from the newspaper in my home town: http://www.gd.no/nyheter/article5681707.ece Story and film clip from Oslo: http://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/artikkel.php?artid=10080775 Best regards, Kristian Johnsen
