There is an event I have been providing sound for the past 12 years.It's called WWII Weekend.It's the biggest show of it's kind east of the Mississippi.Durring the day we have 4 stages going and at night are the hanger dances. The airfield is set just like you might have seen in movies of WWII England. They have lots of planes from B17's to P51's.But they also have avaiation maintenace units, mobile hospital units,a radio station doing live shows and news reports from June 43.You'll see tanks,half tracks plenty of jeeps and old cars. In addition they have a number of actual WWII veterans who speak everyday. In the past they have had Bob Morgan,pilot of the Memphis Belle, Paul Tibbets,pilot of the Enola Gay, Tex Hill of the Flying Tigers ( AVG) and many others. They have one of the very few P61 night fighters on display. There's an officers club with some great enetertainers singing the music of that era. Friday and Saturday nights they have hanger dances with swing bands. Attendance runs about 30,000 over 3 days. If any of you happen to be there,look me up. I'll most likely be in the "O' Club durring the day and the hanger at night.
