True, but I would guess there have been more DXR units sold overall, since they were more targeted to the MI crowd. I don't remember ever seeing DSRs at Guitar Center, but they stocked the DXRs as soon as they came out. If they sold 5x as many DXRs, I'd expect that many more used units being sold.
I thought the same about the DXR115 compared to the DXR112, but if I am honest I think the critical parts of the midrange were more honest and projected better through the 12. Whenever I hear a term like "warmer," I tend to think 'good for an acoustic duo, bad for a blues band in a nightclub or outdoors.' ;-)
I'd welcome some elaboration on what you mean by that: to me, the Yamaha DXRs are voiced brighter than JBLs I have heard, but to me they sound like they are actually just not getting scooped in that range, where others are.
