Hello, I purchased some used Yorkville TX4 cabinets. After checking them out. I have found that the speaker protection circuit inside the cabinets are bad and do not work. ( No sound from the horns ). The numbers on the board are M456 ver 2.00. Does anyone know where I can purchase these parts?
Thank you.

Re: Yorkville TX4 speaker protection circuit

It has been my experience with Yorkville that they do NOT sell parts.
If you have a item that needs repair you need to send it to them and they will repair/replace....but they will not just sell you the part.

This is true. Yorkville will not sell the part. I was told by Yorkville that I must take the part to a dealer to have it shipped back for repair. This was confirmed by a local dealer. I was hoping someone would have these parts for sell, but I guess I'll be shipping the parts back.

Thank you!

Hello:
I use TX4 cabs for some of my applications....they are terrific. I use the appropriate Yorkville processor (TX4P) for processing.
It is my understanding that the speaker protection comes from the Yorkville processor and is triggered by the sense cables.
Once a signal starts overdriving the power amps the processor clamps down on the signal, thus protecting the horn and woofer.
Since the cabs are biamp only, one would assume (?) that there is no crossover in the cab (as the processor does crossover duty).

Have you tried the appropriate processor?
