With a comprehensive background that includes 15+ years of audio visual industry experience, including a proven track record with both equipment manufacturers and the industry’s dealers and integrators, Cossey is well positioned to oversee Altinex’ sales operations. Cossey commenced work in December 2011 and is stationed at the company’s corporate headquarters in Brea, CA.
As Altinex’ new VP of Sales, Cossey oversees a number of crucial operations for the company. Responsibilities include spearheading the company’s sales operations objectives by contributing market and sales information to strategic initiatives and reviews. Cossey is tasked with completing action plans and implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards as part of these objectives. Similarly, he is responsible for sales forecasting in order to meet the company’s sales objectives. In addition to analyzing market trends and guiding the company’s responses, Cossey will also oversee the company’s annual and gross profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, project anticipated sales volume and profit for new and existing lines, and monitor costs, competition, supply, and demand.
Cossey’s background spans a wide range of experiences that make him ideally suited to his new position with Altinex. He is well versed in the international and domestic markets, regional sales, sales management, team leadership, technical sales, plus key account and vertical market sales. Prior to his appointment with Altinex, he served as the National Sales Manager for Presentation Switchers, Inc. where he oversaw sales, dealer training initiatives, sales and marketing materials, and Internet-based training. Cossey has also held the title of Senior Sales Manager for Southland Technology, Inc. In this capacity, he focused on A/V design and sales targeted toward Federal Government business. Additionally, Cossey held the positions of West Coast Business Unit Manager for Karcher Group, Inc., West Coast Regional Manager for Analog Way, Inc., and Regional Manager for Anderson Audio Visual, Inc.
