London, UK – 01/08/2013 – Britannia Row Productions Training has been granted the status of Approved Candidate for Accreditation by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education (BAC) as a Short Course Provider. This is the outcome of an inspection carried out by the BAC prior to Britannia Row Productions Training’s opening.

This status allows applicants from outside the EU/EEA for the Live Sound Technology course to apply for Student Visitor Visa in order to attend the course at the company’s Training Centre in London, UK.

In July 2013 Britannia Row Productions Training started its first 12-week Live Sound Technology course. The intensive full-time course is the first of its kind and is based on full integration of theoretical and practical training made possible by the dedicated training centre.

The BAC’s inspection as the next step in Britannia Row Productions Training’s development verified its arrangements as a training provider in terms of staffing, management, teaching, facilities and quality assurance. This has now opened up the course to non-EU applicants.

Managing Director Matthias Postel comments: “We highly value the feedback and verification that the BAC has provided as part of the detailed accreditation process. It confirms the approach we have taken when we established Britannia Row Productions Training to provide quality and professional training relevant for the live sound industry. The news that visas can be obtained for this course will be especially important for people who intend to join us from abroad as we have received substantial interest from around the world ever since we started promoting Britannia Row Productions Training.”

Britannia Row Productions Training is an initiative by Britannia Row Productions, one of the world’s leading audio rental companies, providing state of the art equipment and highly skilled technicians for a wide variety of events and tours throughout the world. Britannia Row Productions have been the live sound specialists for Pink Floyd throughout the company’s history.

Among the 500 shows and events Britannia Row Productions is working on this summer, it is the live sound company on the current Robbie Williams and Depeche Mode’s stadium tours. Last summer Britannia Row did the live sound for H.M. Queen Elizabeth ll’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and worked on the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Britannia Row Productions Training was established to provide relevant, practical training from within the Live Sound industry in response to the lack of appropriate courses for this specific line of work carried out by Live Sound Technicians. The Live Sound Technology course has been designed and is delivered by Britannia Row’s own staff, professional engineers and technicians who work with some of the biggest international acts and events.
The Training Centre initially hosts the Live Sound Technology course, with further courses to follow at other levels.

The facility features a complete live sound setup where teaching and practice take place, using state-of-the-art equipment available from Britannia Row Productions. The Live Sound Technology course is supported by L-Acoustics, Yamaha, Midas, Shure, Turbosound and Blackout who have worked on the room acoustics.

Qualifying trainees at the end of each course will be awarded a Certificate in Live Sound Technology.
The next Live Sound Technology Course starts at the beginning of October 2013. The courses cost £6000 including VAT.
